Although Hugo Chavez did not like beer, preferring the traditional coca leaf for Venezuela, ReVort brewers decided to honor his memory with a new, original recipe for a foamy drink. Light ale “Hugo C.” is made in the style of Milkshake IPA on the basis of hop varieties Amarillo, Mosaic and Citra. Bright, tropical fruit taste of this beer is given by a plentiful portion of passion fruit, mango and ripe strawberry, conveying the drink a pleasant sweetness and an orange-red hue. Due to its strong, exotic-bitter taste, El Hugo Chavez is optimally combined with spicy Asian dishes and pizza.
