Description

Domaine Tariquet, VSOP is a typical representative of the Bas-Armagnac tradition, presented in an elegant decanter of an unusual shape. Armagnac is supplied in a gift box, emphasizing the status and value of the drink.

This is a balanced blend (60% Ugni Blanc + 40% Baco), aged for 5 to 7 years in oak barrels, which exceeds the VSOP regulations (minimum 4 years). Distillation takes place in copper alambics over a wood fire, after which the spirits are aged in barrels with a light char (“chauffe blonde”), which helps preserve the freshness of the fruit and give the drink a soft structural base.

Armagnac retains its natural strength of 40%, without caramel or cold filtration, which results in “transparency” of color and purity of taste.

Domaine Tariquet is a family winery from Gascony that has been combining tradition and modernity for over a hundred years. The story begins in 1912, when the Grasse family acquired a domaine with deep roots in Armagnac production. Over time, Tariquet has become a symbol of a new approach to winemaking in the southwest of France.

In the 1980s, the estate focused on producing fresh, vibrant white wines, and was one of the first to show that Gascony could make not only Armagnac, but also memorable wine. Today, on more than 1,100 hectares, both traditional regional varieties are grown Ugni Blanc, Gros and Petit Manseng, Colombard and international ones such as Sauvignon, Chardonnay and Chenin. The estate actively invests in sustainable winemaking: it practices careful farming, reduces the burden on the ecosystem and develops its own environmental program.

Today, Domaine Tariquet is one of the regions most recognizable brands. Its wines and Armagnacs are exported to more than 60 countries and are highly prized for their brightness, consistency and authentic Gascon character.
