Description

Domaine du Pelican, Arbois Savagnin Ouille is a pure, focused, impressively fresh wine with a unique character. Grapes varieties Savavin is autochthonous variety of the Jura region and, in particular, the appellation Arbois. In the manufacture of wine uses a special technology, which was once used by the monks. The wine is fermented and aged for 10 months in large, old feeds and 500-liter barrels. In this case, the barrels are filled with wine completely and topped up in the process of aging, to prevent oxidation. Hence the word “Ouill” in the name of the wine. It comes from the French verb “ouiller”, which means “topping up wine in barrels”.
