Description
“Vermouth del Professore” Rosso is named after Jerry Thomas, an American bartender of the 19th century, an innovator who is considered the original mixologist and was nicknamed “The Professor.” The drink was created with the aim to return the glory of classic aperitif to vermouth, as well as compete with flavored vermouth. Vermouth del Professor Rosso is the only vermouth in the world created from Italian white and red wines with the addition of aromatic plants and vegetables grown on the company’s own farm. The composition of the ingredients is kept secret, only a few of them are known: Alpine mint, wormwood, gentian, and clove. In the manufacture of vermouth, pure alcohol is added to the wine mixture. After distillation, aromatic ingredients are introduced into the basis of 18% strength and only at the last moment pure cane sugar is added. Then vermouth is aged for at least 6 months in small oak barrels. The result is a unique drink – the perfect aperitif in the Italian style.
