Description
Wine “Poggio ai Ginepri” is made from selected grapes of Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Petit Verdot, grown in the best vineyards of Bolgheri DOC. Climate 2011 was favorable for ripening – were heavy rains in the spring, following the summer months were sunny and very hot. Harvest began early – on 27 August. Fermentation and maceration for each class separately carried out in stainless steel vats at a controlled temperature not exceeding 28 C for 15-20 days. Half of the wine was aged in French and Hungarian oak barriques, and the other half – in steel vats for 8 months. After assemblyazha the wine is bottled and left to ripen further 3 months. Wine “Poggio ai Ginepri” has good storage potential – for 5-8 years.
