Description
“Col di Sasso” – a pair of red wine “Le Rome” in the main line of the company Castello Banfi, one of the most famous wines from this manufacturer. Young, bright and easy-drinking wine. Name in Italian means “Stone Hill” and it is no coincidence, since it is made from a mixture of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese grown in the most rugged and impassable places Banfi estate in Montalcino. Sangiovese gives the wine an excellent full-bodied, and Cabernet Sauvignon improves the structure and fills a bouquet of bright fruit tones. The grapes are harvested in the second half of September. Maceration for 5-6 days and the fermentation is carried out in stainless steel at a controlled temperature of 24-25 C. This allows for good color and flavor of the wine to preserve, without unnecessary burdening the tannin. Also conducted malolactic fermentation. Shutter speed for a short time takes place in stainless steel tanks. Wine storage capacity is 3 years.
