Description
“Generala” Superiore, Barbera d’Asti DOCG – a delicious, balanced wine, clearly demonstrating the features of its unique terroir. To create varieties Barbera grapes grown in the subzone of Nice, where are the best areas for growing grapes. Harvested in early October, wort is subjected vinification in stainless steel tanks. The process of aging of wine is carried out in several stages. The first 6 months, the wine is stored in French barriques, further – a further 6 months in barrels made of Slavonian oak. After that, the wine bottled and kept for another six months in the bottles for the acquisition of sophisticated, mature taste and rich aroma.
“General” Superiore – winner of several prestigious awards, including the Silver Medal competition Decanter World Wine Awards (2011), as well as high ratings from world-renowned wine critics.
Winery Bersano begins its history in 1907, when the Italian businessman Giuseppe Bersano bought from Count Kremozino estate. At first it was a small family business, but the situation has changed in the 50-ies of XX century, when the nephew Giuseppe – Arturo was able to convert it into a large company. He decided to expand the vineyard area, which allowed to become the largest landowner Bersano Piemonte. The main vineyards and winery are located in Piedmont Bersano.
Today the winery annually processed 3200 tons of grapes. 85% of the total company produces wines from their own harvest, and the remaining 15% – bought from the local wine-growers. Careful hand-picking of grapes from old vines ensures the highest quality raw materials. Vinification made in stainless steel tanks. Further drinks are aged 6-8 months in oak barrels and subjected to refining in bottles for 3 months. Bersano The farm produces classic and aged dry wines, as well as exclusive and sparkling wines. Bersano wines periodically receive various awards. Their exports settled in more than 30 countries.
