Description
Dry red wine “Genius Loci” Sangiovese is made by experienced winemakers of the estate Burchino from selected Sangiovese grapes grown in the vineyard “Le Corti” on the fertile soils of Tuscany. Harvesting is carried out manually, after which the fruit is carefully sorted and subjected to vinification. Fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks. Malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels, in which it is subsequently aged for 12 months. Wine can be consumed young, but at the same time, it has a very good potential for development, over time only improving its taste and aroma characteristics.
The estate of Burchino , belonging to the Castellani family, is located in the village of Terrichchola and covers an area of 37 hectares. The vineyards are located on the hills in the Chianti region. Soils consisting of clay and loose sand, are composed of a large number of small shell rock, recalling the proximity to the sea.
