Ca ‘Marcanda, “Magari” – elegant red wine, born under the Tuscan sun blessed. The name of the wine “Magari” in Italian means “if only that were true!”. In Italy, this expression is often used to express the desire, the hope for a brighter future. Location vineyards – Agriculture Ka Markandeya (Bolgheri). The perfect combination of white stony ground (terre blanche) and dark clay soils (terre brune) creates excellent conditions for the creation of an elegant wine with soft, silky taste. “Magari” – a blend of three grape varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc. In the production of wine each variety is fermented separately. Mixing occurs after the end of malolactic fermentation. After that, the wine is kept in barriques 18 months and 6 months in bottles.

Brand Gaja was founded in 1859 by Giovanni Gaia, the great-grandfather of the current owner Angelo Gaja, and for 5 generations, is owned by the family Gaia. To date, Gaja Winery owns vineyards with a total area of 250 hectares, located in the province of Tuscany and Piedmont. Angelo Gaja began its work in the family business in 1961, after completing their education in oenological Institute of Alba and the University of Montpellier (he later received a degree in economics from the University of Turin). Angelo has repeatedly visited France and inspired by modern and traditional techniques of French wine makers began to use the experience gained in the production of their own wines.
