Description
Camporignano, “Cerronero”, Toscana IGT – elegant dry red wine, which is created from Merlot grapes grown in the Tuscany region, surrounded by the Siena hills. At an altitude of 300 meters above sea level, on clay soil, commonly known in Tuscany as “mattaione”, the vineyards of the Camporignano winery are located. The hand-picked grapes are gently destemmed, pressed and placed in French oak barrels, where the must is fermented for 18 days at constant temperature control. Then the wine is aged for another 24 months in French oak barriques and at least 6 months in bottle before release. Wine is recommended to use as an aperitif, as well as in combination with Italian cuisine, smoked meats, pasta, steak and mature cheeses.
