Description
Dry red wine Canneto, Rosso di Montepulciano DOC is produced from grapes Sangiovese and Merlot grown in Tuscany. Lots 26 hectares located at an altitude of 300-400 meters above sea level; Vineyard exposure south-west. Loose soil, clay with the addition of the marl. Planting density – 5200 vines / ha. The average age of the vines – 14 years. Harvested by hand. Merlot grapes are harvested 25-30 September, Sangiovese – October 10-15. Berries purified by ridges gently compressed, and then sent to a steel vats, where it is subjected to controlled alcohol fermentation by adding a yeast culture selected. Maceration lasts 10 days. The wine is aged 6 months in steel tank vessels and a minimum of 3 months in the bottle.
