Description
Wine “Rocca Alata” Amarone della Valpolicella DOC – an integral part of the rich history of the region, “studded” with ancient fortresses and noble villas. To create this red wine producer uses grapes varieties Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara. After harvesting the grapes are not vinified immediately. To begin with, it is dried for several months, so that the aroma and taste of berries become as concentrated as possible. For aging wines use large oak botti (large barrels from 400 liters of cylindrical or round shape).
Cooperative Cantina di Soave , founded in 1898, is one of the most interesting wineries in Italy. Possessing 6,000 hectares of vineyards, the company has a very rich past, while developing in a modern innovative direction. Step by step, the company managed to create a strong group of wineries with vineyards that go far beyond the original limits of the Soave region. Now, in the production line of the Cantina di Soave, there are also wines of land at Lake Garda, from the hills of Valpolicella, and from the famous Bardolino area. Following the tradition of growth and focus on the characteristics of the terroir, the company purposefully improved the quality of native Veneto varieties: Garganega, from which Soave wines are made; Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara for Valpolicella, Bardolino, Amarone and Ripasso wines. The last pearl in the company’s rich necklace was the acquisition of the Montecchia Crosara winery, which grows rare autochthonous Durella grapes.
His mission Cantina di Soave considers increasing the importance of the territory, testing new farming methods and winemaking to promote the cultivation of autochthonous grape varieties east of Verona, as well as strengthening the production and distribution of high-quality wines.
