Description
The gravel-rocky vineyards planted by Tinto de Toro (Tempranillo) are located on terraces along the Duero River and are cultivated according to traditional techniques. Unusual purple-blue color and blackberry-chocolate aroma of wine are provided by observing a number of conditions: grapes are picked exclusively by hand; only the best bunches are allowed into production; fermentation takes place in oak barriques.
Dry red wine Carodorum, “Issos”, Toro DO is created from Tempranillo grapes harvested from 25-50-year-old vines. Alcoholic fermentation and malolactic fermentation take place in temperature controlled oak barriques (26 C). The wine is aged for 10 months in the best French oak barrels. The wine received two silver medals at the “Mundus Vini” and “Terravino” competitions.
