First Brunello di Montalcino “Tenuta Nuova” was released in 1993. It was a science project “Casanova di Neri” features a passionate desire to produce Brunello with lots of character. Explore the land in search of better exposure, winemakers have chosen for the production of Brunello di Montalcino Sangiovese grapes cloned from Sangiovese Cherretalto and grown in the vineyards and Le Petradoniche Cetin, located south of Montalcino. Here grapes purchased Mediterranean flavors, great finesse and good tannic structure. In the vineyards has been applied scientific system of training vines, special technology stocks, adjust the density of the crop.
In the process of wine making “Tenuta Nuova” Brunello di Montalcino harvest was macerated and fermented in open vats tapered from three to four weeks, after which the wine is matured in 600-liter oak barrels for 36 months and then 18 months in bottles. The wine has a large storage capacity.

Casanova di Neri Winery was founded in 1971 when Giovanni Neri bought a large estate in Montalcino, in an area famous for excellent conditions for growing grapes and creating great wines. The estate belonged to 35 hectares of vineyards. Gradually Giovanni Neri join him and other lands, so today the winery has a total of about 60 hectares, which are divided into four vineyard: “Petradoniche”, which is located in Castelnuovo del Abate, “Le Cetin” in Sant’Angelo in Colle, “Cherretalto” and “Fiesole” to the east, near the farm, in front of Montalcino. Which lie on different slopes of Montalcino vineyards are influenced by the radical differences in the soil, microclimate, environment, flora. Each wine “Casanova di Neri” reflects these differences and has an individual character and a consistently high quality.

The total area of Casanova di Neri estate of 350 hectares of vineyards are planted in addition to olive groves. In 2000, Casanova di Neri farm were built new cellars, which are completely located underground and comply with the latest technology.
