Vintage wines to create collected manually. After the procedure, the fermentation the wine was aged in Slavonian oak barrels for 12-18 months. Then the wine is bottled and produced additional delay for 6 months. The peak of flavor and aromatic characteristics of the vintage of 2011 is expected between 2015 and 2021 years.

Antonio Galloni, an American wine critic evaluates this wine 91 points and is characterized as follows: “Chianti Classico 2011 – enchanting introduction to wine company Castello dei Rampolla. The wine has a distinct structure, greater than most red wines this year. Sweet floral notes and deep resinous and spicy tones give a well defined aftertaste energy and playful mood. The wine is ready for immediate use, but a year or two spent in the bottle, ennoble the taste and soften slightly sharp tannins. “

Castello dei Rampolla estate located in the heart of Tuscany, near the tiny medieval town of Panzano, in the southern part of the valley, which is called the Conca d’Oro (“Golden Shell”). Ancient picturesque castle and cellars in which the wine is stored, were built in the XIII century. Since 1739, the castle belongs to the family di Napoli Rampolla (di Napoli Rampolla). Nevertheless, professional winery was founded only in 1964 Alcheo di Napoli, inspired by the beauty Supertuscan wines. In 1965, he received the first harvest of cultivated vineyards and sold them to his family Antinori. Since 1970 the winery begins its own vinification, and in 1975 was released the first wine under the brand name “Castello dei Rampolla.” Alcheo di Napoli began to cooperate with the famous oenologist Giacomo Takis, the author of the “star” of wine as “Sassicaia” – one of the leading Italian wines in the Bordeaux style. In 1980 they released the first vintage “Sammarco”, a blend which, unlike the first monosortovyh wine “Castello dei Rampolla” created only from Cabernet Sauvignon, Sangiovese and even introduced later Merlot. The vineyards were established fully biodynamic farming methods, at a sufficiently high density planting yields were severely limited. In 1996, the product line there is a new wine – “Vigna d’Alceo”, created Alcheo son – Luke – in honor of his father. This is unusual, powerful wine becomes a cult Supertuscan wine.
Today the economy is controlled sister and brother Maurizio and Luca di Napoli Rampolla – great wine enthusiasts in love with his beautiful land. They continue the fruitful cooperation with Takis, expanding its line of wines, while maintaining consistently high quality.

“Wine Castello dei Rampolla long been one of my favorite in Tuscany … They remind me of the great wines Graves (Graves)”, – wrote in his book “The World’s Greatest Wine Estates” famous wine critic Robert Parker.
