Wine “Codfish” Loureiro Premium, Vinho Verde DOC

Description

“Alto Lima” Branco is a Portuguese semi-dry white wine, for the production of which grapes of the Loureiro, Arinto and Trajadura varieties are used. The grapes are grown in the Vinho Verde region on shale-clay soils. The region’s proximity to the Atlantic Ocean makes it a highly productive terroir. Sea breezes often bring rainfall with them, allowing yields to rise much higher than in the drier regions of Portugal. After harvesting, which is carried out at the time of optimal ripeness of the berries, the grapes undergo traditional vinification at a controlled temperature. The wine is ideal as an aperitif, as well as in combination with light fish, seafood or poultry dishes with a little spice.
