Cortonesi, “La Mannella” Brunello di Montalcino DOCG – exquisite dry red wine made from Sangiovese grapes grown in the “La Mannella” zone, one of the coolest areas of the Montalcino appellation, at an altitude of 350 meters above sea level. The soils of the vineyard are rocky. After harvesting, which is carried out at the time of optimal ripeness of the berries, the grapes undergo traditional vinification at a controlled temperature in steel vats. The wine is aged in large Slavonian oak barrels with a volume of 30 hl for 36-40 months, after which it is bottled and “rests” in the cellars of the winery for at least 6 months. Vintage 2016 has 25,000 bottles of La Mannella Brunello di Montalcino wine. At its peak, the wine will be between 2023-2040.
