Description
Dry red wine Famiglia Berta, Barbera d’Asti “Belmon” DOCG made from Barbera grapes grown in three vineyards in Piedmont. Areas with sandy-marl soils “Cherruta”, “Kanfullet” and “Glauda” have a south-western exposure and are located at an altitude of 260 meters above sea level. The average age of the vines is 30 years, the planting density is 5000 units / ha. The grapes, which have reached optimum ripeness, are harvested by hand in September with primary sorting on the vine. The berries are peeled from the ridges and gently pressed. Maceration on the skin lasts 15-25 days, then alcoholic fermentation begins with temperature control (26-28 C), followed by malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged for 5 months in steel tankers.
