Description
Fongoli, Montefalco Rosso Biologico – aromatic, strong, convincing wine capable of expressing a unique class and elegance. It is made from Sangiovese, Sagrantino, Montepulciano and Merlot grapes grown according to biodynamic methods on steep clay slopes from southeast to southwest. The vines are protected only with copper, sulfur and biodynamic preparations, which are aimed at improving the humus of the soil. No chemical products are used. Vinification includes prolonged fermentation with natural yeast at a controlled temperature and post-maceration for 10 days. Excerpt for at least 18 months takes place in large Slavonian oak barrels aged from 5 to 70 years. Clarification and natural settling of particles before bottling is carried out by decantation. Wine storage potential is 10-15 years. It is recommended to uncork the bottle at least one hour before use.
