Description
“Manna” – a dry white wine that Franz Haas devoted to his wife, Mary-Louise Mann. The first vintage was released in 1995. The wine is made from a blend of 4 grape varieties – Riesling, Chardonnay, Traminer and Sauvignon Blanc grown on different sites in three municipalities: Montagna, Enya and Aldini. The vineyards are located at an altitude of between 350 and 850 meters above sea level and have a south-western exposure. Soil enough variety – dolomite, sand, marl, porphyry. The average yield is 45-55 hl / ha. Harvesting and production process takes place each class separately due to the different ripening grapes. Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc are fermented in barrels, while Riesling and Traminer fermented in stainless steel tanks. At the final stage of fermentation the young wines are blended to create the blend. Excerpt on the lees lasts 10 months. Then the wine is bottled and aged for another few months. The volume of wine produced – 50 thousand bottles.
