Description
Wine “Conteisa”, 2005 embodies the features of Nebbiolo grapes grown in the terroir Cherekvio. The grapes are grown on the same vineyard Konteysa in La Morra, in the Langhe region. The name of the wine comes from the Piedmontese word “conteisa”, which means “altercation”. It points to the historical dispute between the communes of La Morra and Barolo land rights on the spot Cherekvio. Fermentation is carried out in grapes steel containers at a controlled temperature for 3 weeks. Extract of wine takes place in two stages: first in 12 months in barriques, then 18 months – in large oak casks.
