Description
Line of wines “Borgeri” – it is a pure and simple expression of the terroir of Bolgheri region. The name they got thanks to the ancient writing Bolgheri like Borger, specified on a map, drawn by Leonardo da Vinci during one of his many expeditions in 1453. Fingerprint Giorgio Meletti Cavallari on the wine label – a kind of “quality mark”, guaranteed by the master.
“Borgeri” Rosso, 2013 – a beautiful blend of international red grape varieties (Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah), which has an elegant aroma of shades of red berries, fruit, Mediterranean herbs and spices. The wine was produced in consultation winemaker Maurizio Castelli. Cold preliminary maceration at a temperature 8-10 C lasts for 24-36 hours after which the fermentation wort begins in steel tanks with regulators. After 15-18 days, the wine is poured into oak barriques, where the malolactic fermentation and aging, which lasts 8 months. As much as the wine spends in the bottle before entering the market.
