Wine Glenelly, “Glass Collection” Syrah, 2021

The Glass Collection is inspired by the beloved glass art collection of May de Lenquesen, a French winemaker who has been the owner and managing director of the iconic Chteau Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande winery for over 30 years. Glass Collection wines demonstrate the unique terroir and diversity of grape varieties planted on the Glenelli estate.

Glenelly, “Glass Collection” Syrah, 2021 – dry red wine with an intriguing aroma and a well-balanced, harmonious taste. The 2021 season, much cooler than in previous years, provided Syrah grapes with slow, even ripening and excellent natural acidity. Hand-harvested and destemmed, the grapes underwent a natural, slow fermentation with just two pumps per day, followed by post-maceration on the skins for 2 weeks. The aging of the wine in old French oak barrels (mainly 5th and 6th filling) with a capacity of 500 liters lasted 12 months. The storage potential of wine is 4-8 years.
