Description
Lagrain is one of the oldest autochthonous varieties of South Tyrol. Until the 1980s, mainly pink roses were made from it. Deep, loose alluvial soils near the Talver River near Bolzano are ideal for Lagraine and endow it with a pleasant, expressive character. Grapes are fermented in cement containers at a temperature of 30 C. The aging of Hans Rottensteiner, Lagrein Riserva, Alto Adige DOC wine is carried out in large oak barrels for 12 months.
