Ken Forrester, “Petit” Chenin Blanc is a pleasant everyday dry white wine made from Chenin Blanc grapes, which most accurately reflects the strength, power and elegance of the Stellenbosch terroir. Vineyards located on the slopes of Mount Helderberg, in the heart of the Stellenbosch wine region, are usually called the Chenin Blanc House. The cool climate combined with clay-shale soil allows the variety to show its full potential. Vineyards have southern and southwestern exposure. Productivity is 6-8 t / ha. Harvested by hand when the berries reach optimum ripeness. Wort is fermented at low temperatures in neutral containers. Wine is bottled immediately to emphasize freshness and fruity aromas. Decantation is recommended for 30 minutes before serving.
