Description

“Masca” – the “ugly duckling” of the house of Roccapest. He was born because the Roccapesta winery did not want to use international grape varieties to produce its wines from Scanzano. But in the blend of Masks to the classic Sangiovese varieties were added Petit Verdot and Syrah, which are also grown in vineyards farms. And as in a fairy tale, the ugly duckling, in the end, turned into a swan. When making wine, only natural yeast is used, the minimum amount of sulfur and no filtration is applied. For this reason, a precipitate may form in the bottle, which is a sign of a rich, lively and active wine.
