This grape has a lower water content, the high concentration of sugar and awesome, unique flavor. First vintage “Muffat della Sala” was produced in 1987. Then it was a blend of grape varieties Sauvignon Blanc (50%), Grechetto (30%) and Drupedzhio (20%). In the next few years, the blend changed, until he came to the final version, which includes Sauvignon Blanc, Grechetto, Traminer and Riesling. The wine is produced in very limited quantities.

The grapes for wine making, “Muffat della Sala” is grown in the vineyards of Castello della Sala, located at an altitude of 200 to 350 meters above sea level. Clay soils rich in marine fossils vineyards. The grapes are harvested by hand with successive passages through the vineyards to select only those clusters that have been attacked by “noble rot”. Winery fruits are the final selection on the sorting table, then pressed without departing from the ridges. Fermentation takes place within 18 days at a temperature of about 17 C. Then the wine is aged for six months in French oak barrels Allier and Tronkays.
