Cuve “Le Volte”, consisting of three grape varieties combines the characteristics of the best terroirs of Tuscany. The structure and complexity of Cabernet Sauvignon are perfectly combined with a Mediterranean character of Sangiovese gives the wine brightness and softness of Merlot. The first issue of Wine “Le Volte”, reflecting the style of wine farms Tenuta del Ornellaia, started in 1991. Each grape variety vinified separately in stainless steel vats. After completion of the secondary malolactic fermentation, the wine is kept for 10 months in French oak barriques of age from 2 to 4 years, which have previously kept wine “Masseto” and “Ornellaia”.

Philosophy Tenuta del’Ornellayya based on the pursuit of high quality. Vineyards are farms in Bolgheri, Tuscany subregion, located off the coast of the Tyrrhenian Sea. The mild Mediterranean climate and beautiful soil provide ideal conditions for ripening grapes. The total area is 97 hectares of vineyards, the vineyards grow varieties: Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Technology of production of each particular vintage chosen on the basis of the characteristics of the harvest, the grapes are harvested by hand only when it reaches optimum maturity.
