Description

Piaggia, Riserva, Carmignano DOCG, 2020 is the flagship red wine of the Piaggia winery, a wonderful reflection of the result of a careful selection in the old vineyard of Poggetto and the uniqueness of the appellation. It is a modern interpretation of Carmignano, where particular attention is paid to every little detail. This wine is capable of long-term aging, while maintaining its special characteristics and qualities.

The harvest is done manually. Each grape variety is vinified separately without the addition of artificial yeast, which preserves the natural characteristics of the wine. The wine is poured into French oak barrels, where it undergoes malolactic fermentation and matures for at least 18 months. During this time, the wine is poured several times to make it more transparent and ready for bottling. The wine is not subjected to any filtration or clarification processes in order to preserve all its organoleptic properties pristine.
