Description
Name “Neprica” reflects the varietal composition of the blend, consisting of grape varieties NEgramaro, Primitivo and Cabernet. Grapes are grown in two estates belonging to the winery “Tormareska”: “Tenuta Mayma” in San Pietro Vernotico and “Bocca di Lupo” in Minervino Murge.
The grapes for “Neprica” collected in a state of maturity, vinification of each variety is produced separately in stainless steel tanks with regulators. Maceration is carried out at a temperature not higher than 26 C and lasts for 8 to 10 days. Malolactic fermentation ends at the beginning of winter. After that, the wine is assembled and sent to the shutter speed for 8 months in steel tanks and for at least 4 months – in bottles.
The winery was established Tormaresca Antinori family in 1998 on the basis of two names: Minervino Murg, located near Bari and other estates near Brindisi. Tormaresca produces a range of red and white wines that reflect the diverse nature of Puglia. The main red wines is the local variety Negramaro, with a rich aroma of black berries. Philosophy Tormaresca, due to which the winery in a short time managed to achieve success and to achieve universal acceptance, is the production of typical Apulian wines with a rich fruity bouquet.
