Description
Stellenbosch Hills is an established player in the South African wine market. The brand boasts over 70 years of success, winemaking excellence and manufacturing experience. The first farms, which also cultivated grapes, appeared in the Wottenburg region (Stellenbosch) in 1707. Winery “Stellenbosch Hills” prides itself on its rich history and an immense heritage of viticulture and winemaking traditions that result in affordable and internationally recognized wines.
Dry white wine Stellenbosch Hills, Sauvignon Blanc is made from the grape variety of the same name grown in the Stellenbosch region. The berries are harvested by hand in the early morning when they reach optimum ripeness. The morning grape harvest helps to preserve the fresh aroma of tropical fruits in the bouquet of future wine. After gentle pressing, the juice obtained by the “free flow” method is left in contact with the skin for 4 hours. Pre-fermentation stabilization and settling takes two days. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out under controlled low temperature conditions.
