Description
The refined, noble Torraccia del Piantavigna, Ghemme DOCG is created from the Nebbiolo and Vespolin grapes grown in the famous Piedmont commune of Gemme. Wine is the pride of the economy and demonstrates excellent quality, confirmed by high ratings of critics and prizes in international competitions.
To create a wine, the crop is harvested by hand in the first half of October and transported to the winery in small boxes. After soft pressing, the wort is fermented in tanks under thermal control conditions and then subjected to malolactic fermentation. Wine is aged for at least three years oak barrels and at least 6 months in a bottle.
The attraction of Toraccia del Piantavigna, Gemme lies in its softness and seductively sweet aroma, which replaced the more strict character typical of traditional wines of the Upper Piedmont.
The design of the bottle and label for wine has been preserved since 1904.
