Description
Urlar, Pinot Noir is an elegant wine with real weight and power. It is made from grapes grown by organic methods on sites in the Vairarapa region. Before vinification, some of the grapes undergo cold maceration. Fermentation with natural yeast cultures is carried out in stainless steel vats and oak cuvettes at a temperature of about 32 C. Then the wine is pressed, separating from the peel, and placed in French oak barrels, 25% of which are new. In barrels, part of the wine goes through apple-milk fermentation in the spring, and part in the fall. The subsequent aging of the wine lasts 11 months.
