  • Villa da Vinci, “Santo Ippolito” – one of the best wines of the Villa da Vinci brand from the Cantina estate of Leonardo da Vinci. It is created from the finest vines and carefully selected grapes of Sangiovese, Syrah and Merlot. In the process of vinification, fermentation is carried out in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. Then the wine is aged in new oak barrels for 12-18 months, acquiring a rich, concentrated taste and spicy aroma. Best of all, the wine will reveal its organoleptic properties in a pair with red meat dishes, game and cheeses.

The Cantina estate by Leonardo da Vinci was founded in 1961, when thirty small wineries decided to join forces in order to share their passion for winemaking and share the costs of building one huge cellar. The farm’s vineyards then covered an area of 70 hectares. Over the past 50 years, the cooperative has grown significantly in size, and now its vineyards comprise about 750 hectares. Interestingly, the area where grapes are now grown for Leonardo’s economy, 4 million years ago, was the seabed. And today, walking among the rows of vines, you can find curious ancient fossils.
At the end of the 20th century, Cantina Leonardo da Vinci acquired two old wineries – Fattoria Montalbano and Cantina di Montalcino. And in 2002 the organization “DalleVigne” was formed, specializing in the marketing of all products of Cantina Leonardo da Vinci and distribution in the HoReCa segment in more than 50 countries around the world. DalleVigne’s Chianti are the most popular wines in this category in the United States. DalleVigne is currently part of the Caviro Corporation.

The Caviro company was founded in 1966 as a cooperative of independent wine producers. Today, Caviro is a successful company with 34 independent wineries and over 13,000 vineyards from the best regions of Italy. The production process of Caviro wines is tightly controlled from harvest to sale, thus ensuring that every bottle of wine reaches the highest quality standards. The assortment of Caviro is a wide range of offered wines of different price categories. Caviro is the undisputed leader in the daily wine segment. The annual production volume, on average, is about 500 million liters, more than 200 of which are exported.
